Beginning July 1, 2020, hotels and casinos in Illinois will be required to provide safety buttons to staff working in guest rooms alone. Similar measures have been passed in New Jersey, New York, Chicago, and Seattle, and several major hotel chains have voluntarily pledged to AHLA's 5-Star Promise to make safety buttons available to workers by 2020.
